چکیده

This paper discusses the problem of improving the realism of motion not only from the joint point-of-view as for robots, but also in relation to the deformations of bodies, hands and faces during animation. The mapping of surfaces onto the skeleton may be based on the concept of Joint-dependent Local Deformation (JLD) operators, which are specific local deformation operators depending on the nature of the joints. A finite element method may also be used to model the deformations of human flesh due to flexion of members and/or contact with objects. Methods for creating the initial shapes are also discussed.

The Problematics of Human Prototyping and Animation

Several ideas and experiments are presented for the creation and realistic animation of three-dimensional scenes involving human beings conscious of their environment. The various approaches should allow the intelligent creation of human beings using prototypes and generate their animation based on mechanics, A. I. and robotics. This paper discusses the problems involved in three major steps of...

Skinning Techniques for Articulated Deformable Characters

Skinning is an indispensable component of the content creation pipeline for character animation in the context of feature films, video games, and in the special effects industry. Skinning techniques define the deformation of the character skin for every animation frame according to the current state of skeletal joints. In this state of the art report, we focus on the existing research in the ar...

Thesis Proposal: Model-based Acquisition of Deformable Geometry

Acquiring 3D digital models of deforming objects is an open problem with applications in computer animation, simulation, as well as medicine. This doctoral thesis will provide practical ways for acquiring the deforming geometry of human faces, bodies, skin or clothing from real world measurements such as images or range data. Due to the under-constrained nature of this problem (a frontal view o...

پویانمایی شخصیت کارتونی با انتقال حرکت مفصلی و مبتنی بر اسکلت موجودات دیگر

Abstract: Nowadays, the animators give life to the fancy characters by making natural movements to organs of cartoon characters. To achieve this goal, movements of living individuals can be applied into cartoon characters. In this paper, a skeletal correspondence finding based method is proposed to transfer movement of a 2D character into a new character, where these two shapes have the same st...
